Sub deployment at Jolene Sound Room
We deployed the subs at Jolene Sound Room: placement, alignment and tuning so the low end lands across the whole floor instead of piling up in one spot. The result is weight you feel in your chest everywhere in the room, and a vocal that still cuts through on top of it.

What a room tuning covers
- Listening first: walking the room at show level to find the dead spots, the hot spots and the boom
- Sub deployment: placement, spacing and time alignment so the low end reaches the whole floor
- Mains, subs, fills and delays aligned so the room sounds like one system
- System EQ tuned by ear, then checked with measurement
- Gain structure and limiters set so it stays loud and clean all night
- DJ booth monitoring a DJ can actually play to
- Settings saved and written up, so the tune stays put after we leave

Common questions
Tuning your room
Do we need new speakers?
Usually not. Most rooms that sound wrong have the gear to sound right; it is placed, aligned or tuned badly. A tune-up fixes that first. If the room genuinely needs more, you get a written upgrade plan.
What does a club sound system tune-up involve?
We listen to the room at show level, then work through sub placement and alignment, mains and fills, system EQ by ear checked with measurement, and limiters and gain structure. Settings are saved and written up so the tune stays.
Do we have to close the venue?
No. Tuning happens after hours or before doors, and upgrades are scheduled around your calendar so you do not lose a night.
Do you work on any brand of system?
Yes. The approach is the same on any PA: placement, alignment, then tuning by ear in the room.
